my dad’s hands

shaken my dad’s hand

what I mean

his big hands,
thick, strong fingers
tough, worn skin
working hands

he wore them with a gritty
honesty, grace and dignity

Your Dad sounded like strong man!! :o) I’ve always thought hands say a lot about a person. There have been times when I’ve been able to tell what someone does for a living just by the look of their hands. My Dad was most of his working life a carpenter, rough, strong hands, but after years of retirement, he had beautiful soft hands!
